Update on She Sharp

In the last month we’ve run two successful events. It has been very exciting to finally get back to in person events again, and to see our whole She Sharp family in person.

At the end of May, to celebrate Techweek, we partnered with Countdown to share the stories of Women Igniting Tech. With some amazing speakers and workshops, it was a great way to start back in person. Everyone also appreciated the amazing breakfast and coffees that Countdown provided - a must for any morning event! In June, we ran another sold-out event in partnership with AWS and NZNWS. This event highlighted Women in Security, with an amazing panel of speakers from the Security industry as well as an exciting activity run by NZNWS. You can join the NZNWS community here, so you're in the loop about their other upcoming events, including Open Source Intelligence and Minoritised Gender Social.

We look forward seeing you all again at our upcoming event in partnership with ANZ!

Listen in to lessons learned and "aha" moments from our She# April event Mind your Own Career. During this event we teamed with an expert team of panelists from MYOB, who shared their unique paths that led them to their current career in technology.

Navigating the Workplace as a Woman

This month She Sharp is partnering with ANZ to bring you an event all about navigating the workplace as a woman!

We operate in an unusual world that has seen workplaces and normal operating models change from the norms that we have been used to. Navigating the “new normal” can be challenging for both new starters in the tech industry settling in, as well as for managers and teams helping their junior staff find their pathways and build networks in often remote or disrupted working environments.

In this interactive, in person session we will be talking with some of ANZ’s women in tech whose careers have been formed throughout these disruptive years, we will hear about their journeys and expectations versus the realities and how they have faced and adapted to the challenges. Supporting them we will also hear from more senior team members at ANZ on how they are helping support people to strengthen their resilience and protect their wellbeing through change.
