AI For the Environment - Female Led Hackathon

She Sharp & the AI Forum are excited to present the first-ever female-led AI hackathon! Join us over the 3-4th September 2022 for a weekend of creative problem-solving in a supportive female-led environment.

She Sharp Hackathon is an all-female-led and non-binary 32-hour hackathon, which aims to help individuals to understand they belong in tech and that there are various roles you can have in the tech industry. Join 60+ people for a weekend of learning, building, and connecting to build your tech skills and realise that you have allies who are supporting you every step of the way.

There will be two winning teams that will go forward to present their solution on centre stage at the Aotearoa AI Summit Conference on 12 September! There will be other prizes up for grabs!

Check out this segment from our founder and director Dr Mahsa Mohaghegh, on Radio New Zealand: Technology correspondent Mahsa Mohaghegh looks at artificial intelligence use in natural language processing and how close it is to being sentient.

There’s definitely a lot of buzz around AI sentience at the moment, and the big question many people might be hearing is whether or not AI has been developed to a level where it’s sentient. She will discuss this topic and finally look into the new launch from Apple last month 'Lockdown mode' which it provides at-risk users with a high level of security - against extreme digital threats.
