Coming Up: From Burnout to Balance

Hosted in collaboration with TechWomen NZ, we’re hosting a breakfast where you can learn how to manage your overall wellbeing as a woman in the workforce.

Brigette McGregor-Macdonald will speak to discovering mindfulness, whilst providing techniques that enhance focus, resilience and centre you. Maya Lee will explore the critical connection between nutrition, health and stress management — helping you put your holistic health first.

Both will help equip you with the toolkit you need to navigate an ever-changing world.

Fonterra: A Legendairy Career

Our legendairy event with Fonterra saw over 100 registrations, being one of our biggest events yet! We gathered a diverse panel of wāhine toa to illustrate their journeys in tech. From the farm to the digital realm, there were many different perspectives sharing a similar story of using your power skills to get ahead.

Attendees gained first hand experience with Fonterra's culture, delving into the pivotal role of power skills in shaping STEM careers. Guided conversations with Fonterra's tech leaders sparked on leveraging personal experiences for professional growth, fostering an environment of shared wisdom and opportunity.

AI For the Environment Hackathon Festival

AcademyEX and She Sharp teamed up to host this hackathon. The two-day event saw a union of AI technology enthusiasts and environmental solution seekers, all with the aim of addressing pressing environmental challenges. She Sharp's Founder, Mahsa, had the honour of judging and was deeply impressed by the remarkable pitches and innovative solutions from all teams.

The level of creativity and expertise on display was incredible. A hearty congratulations goes out to the joint 1st place winners advancing to the national round, and a big shoutout to everyone who contributed to the event's success. Stay tuned, there’s much more to hear about the AI

Member Highlight

This month, we’re highlighting one of our own superstar ambassadors — Mily! As our industry liaison, she’s the driving force for many of our events. Studying a Master of Computer & Information Science at AUT, Mily is solidifying her extensive network engineering experience in the telecommunications industry.

Hailing from Zimbabwe, she made the trek to New Zealand this year and has consistently championed everything She Sharp stands for. With her infectious smile, quick wit and warm nature, one of her many power skills would be her ability to network. Shaking hands with some of the New Zealand tech industry greats doesn't come easy but Mily makes it look seamless.
