August has been a month filled with energy, momentum, and community spirit.
At Revved 2025, I was reminded of the power of showing up with honesty, energy, and a vision bigger than ourselves. Being on stage alongside trailblazers who challenge our thinking and ignite bold ideas left me truly inspired. Revved is more than an event - itβs a movement, and Iβm excited about the possibilities we can build together.
On a personal note, I am honoured to step into the role of Chair of the AI Forum NZ, following in the footsteps of the incredible Megan Tapsell. Meganβs leadership over the past six years has strengthened the Forum and the community in immeasurable ways. As I take on this role, I feel both grateful and motivated to continue building on her legacy and advancing the conversations and actions that matter.
This month also brought us the AI for Good Hackathon, delivered in collaboration with AUT and She Sharp. Over 80 participants, 14 mentors, 11 volunteers, and a group of inspiring high school students came together to explore how AI can drive impact aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The creativity, collaboration, and commitment to real-world change were truly remarkable. Congratulations again to our winners, and thank you to everyone who made the event a success.
What stands out most to me across all these experiences is the theme of community and momentum. When ambitious, curious, and passionate people come together, ideas spark, learning deepens, and impact grows. Letβs keep that momentum rolling into the months ahead - because building the future starts today.
